Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants to bolster his squad this summer by signing some of Britain’s best young footballers.
It’s reported in The Sun that Guardiola is planning to spend £150m to increase the club’s number of home-grown players for next year.

On City’s shortlist are West Ham’s 20-year-old midfielder Declan Rice, Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka (21) and Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell (22).
A City source told the Sun: “Scouts have been out all season looking for the top talents and these are the three players that have come back the most.”
Bayern and Dortmund eye Wan-Bissaka
It’s not just Manchester City who are keen on Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka. German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have joined City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Everton in the race. (Daily Mail)
Salah story is ‘fantasy’
Juventus have been recently linked with a sensational move for Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah but the Italian champions’ sporting director Fabio Paratici has quashed the rumours. He told Radio Rai: “At this moment, it’s all fantasy football.” (Daily Express)
Herrera to commit
Man Utd midfielder Ander Herrera is set to sign a new three-year deal at Old Trafford. The Spaniard, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has been in superb form in the recent run of good results. (The Sun)
City to reward Laporte
Defender Aymeric Laporte, 24, is set to be rewarded for his excellent form by being offered a new contract at Manchester City. (The Times)
Rivals eye Adams
Birmingham City striker Che Adams is being monitored by Tottenham and Arsenal. The 22-year-old English striker has impressed for the Championship side this season and a number of clubs have sent scouts to watch him in action. (Birmingham Mail)
N’Zonzi in, Mustafi out
Arsenal head coach Unai Emery is planning big changes this summer and included on his wanted list is Roma midfielder Steven N’Zonzi. The Gunners are also ready to sell defender Shkodran Mustafi. (The Guardian)
Next stop Merseyside for Fernandes?
There could be a bidding war on Merseyside this summer with Liverpool and Everton both linked with a move for Sporting CP captain Bruno Fernandes. The 24-year-old midfielder has won 11 caps for Portugal. (ESPN)
