Drones are an increasingly common Christmas present — they're a $6.4 billion industry each year and are available on the low end for under $100 — but this may be the last year you can easily take your new Christmas drone out for a spin.

While there are already some regulations on drone use, like a ban on flying them higher than 400 feet or within five miles of an airport, the Federal Aviation Administration is developing significantly more regulations on the toys, as well as informational campaigns to make owners aware of the rules. So have fun with your new drone while you can!
