Tim Burton: Beetlejuice sequel is 'closer than ever'
Beetlejuice fans, rejoice.
In an interview with IGN to promote his new film Big Eyes, Tim Burton said that a Beetlejuice sequel is "closer than ever" — but only if Michael Keaton is onboard.
"There's only one Beetlejuice, and that's Michael. There is a script, and I would love to work with him again. I think there is now a better chance than ever," Burton said. "I miss that character. There's something that's cathartic and amazing about it. I think it's closer than ever."

In a February interview with MTV, meanwhile, Keaton hinted that he'd be up for the possibility of a sequel to the 1988 classic.
