America's 5 biggest movie theater chains drop The Interview

Just a day after a group of hackers threatened terroristic violence against movie theaters that screened Sony's North Korea-set comedy The Interview, the five largest theater chains in America have opted against carrying the movie.

A source tells The Hollywood Reporter that Regal Entertainment, AMC Entertainment, Cinemark, and Cineplex Entertainment have decided not to carry the film. They join Carmike Cinemas, which opted to pull the film yesterday.

In a statement yesterday, the Department of Homeland Security said that despite the threat, there was "no credible intelligence to indicate an active plot against movie theaters within the United States."
