Thousands of demonstrators marched on Saturday, protesting the deaths of black men such as Eric Garner and Michael Brown by police.

"It's a matter of honoring the lives we've lost," a protester in Washington, D.C. told The New York Times. "I'm proud that we are coming together, but on the other hand, I'm sad that we are here, marching for the right to breathe. This is not a localized issue; this is our country's issue."
