Metal legends Slayer saved a tiny homeless kitten

Even Slayer, the seminal metal band known for such hits as Angel of Death and Raining Blood, has a soft spot for cats.

Before a show in Indianapolis last week, guitarist Kerry King and some of the tour crew took in a stray cat that a homeless man was selling for one dollar. "The kitten apparently was freezing so [assistant tour manager] Jess [Cortese] took it, slept with her in her bunk on the bus and went to the venue with her today, hanging out," the band said in a statement to Nuvo. The group then passed the cat along to an acquaintance who wanted a kitten of her own, because, hey, who doesn't want a cute little fuzzball?
