Australia has Medicare for everyone, and it works great

As many have written before, the American healthcare system is the laughingstock of the industrialized world. We pay the highest prices for middling-to-poor outcomes. But the really cruel irony is that many superior programs around the world are called Medicare, just like in America. Australia is one example. The major difference is that instead of covering only the old, they cover everyone. As Aaron Carroll explains, Australia's system works quite well. --Ryan Cooper
