Bippity Boppity Boo. The first trailer for Disney's live-action Cinderella has finally arrived, and anyone who's familiar with Disney's animated take on the classic fairy tale will find a lot to recognize:
Given recent, less conventional riffs on classics like Alice in Wonderland and Maleficent, it's a little surprising that director Kenneth Branagh is hewing so closely to the original story for the new Cinderella. This looks, more or less, like a live-action remake of the Disney's 1950 animated classic — albeit one with a ridiculously talented cast that includes Cate Blanchett, Stellan Skarsgård, and Game of Thrones alum Richard Madden.
We'll see if things still end happily ever after when Cinderella arrives in March 2015.
