Obama's favorability rating hits a new low

A new poll from ABC News and The Washington Post found that 50 percent of Americans have an "unfavorable" view of President Obama, while only 44 percent have a "favorable" view of the commander-in-chief.
In addition to having an unfavorable view of Obama, 52 percent of respondents said that Obama is not a "strong leader," while only 46 percent of respondents said that he is. Forty-nine percent of respondents, meanwhile, thought Obama "can be trusted in a crisis," while 47 percent thought he could not.
The poll, published Sunday, surveyed 1,204 adults by phone from Oct. 23 to Oct. 26. The poll's respondents included both registered voters and likely voters.
