Polls: North Carolina Senate race all tied up

Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) is deadlocked with Republican challenger Thom Tillis in her re-election bid, according to two polls released in as many days.

In a SurveyUSA poll out Monday, Hagan and Tillis tied at 44 percent apiece among likely voters. An NBC News/Marist survey released one day prior pegged both candidates at 43 percent.

North Carolina's Senate race is one of a handful of tight contests that could decide control of the upper chamber this year. Both The New York Times and FiveThirtyEight give Hagan a 73 percent chance of keeping her seat.
