Top Republican official: Wisconsin voters aren't 'sharp'
A co-chairwoman with the Republican National Committee says the Wisconsin gubernatorial race will be a close one, in part because some voters in the state aren't too bright.
"I don't want to say anything about your Wisconsin voters, but some of them might not be as sharp as a knife," RNC co-chairwoman Sharon Day told a gathering of Republicans in Wisconsin on Monday, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Incumbent Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) is a marginal favorite to win re-election, though polls have shown the race tightening down the stretch.
