San Francisco radio stations ban Lorde's 'Royals' throughout World Series


A few San Francisco radio stations have decided that they will never, ever be Royals, as they're blacklisting the Lorde track for the duration of the World Series.
"Why send any positive vibes to Kansas City?" KFOG Program Director Jim Richards told NBC. "Why not give the song a rest?"
This is hardly the first time provincial pride led locals to spurn anything associated with a playoff opponent. In the last round of the playoffs, Kansas City temporarily changed a street name from Baltimore Avenue to "Royals Avenue."
