Former baseball heel John Rocker's turn on the reality show Survivor came to an abrupt if predictable end Wednesday when he threatened to fight a woman and was subsequently voted off the show.

The spat began when a fellow contestant, Natalie Anderson, called Rocker a homophobe and a racist. So exhibiting the characteristic control that was the hallmark of his days as as big league pariah, Rocker shot back, "If you were a man, I'd knock your teeth out."

Rocker, who pitched six seasons in the majors, is best known not for his middling stats, but for saying in a 1999 interview that he hated New York because he was uncomfortable around homosexuals and minorities and that he was "not a very big fan of foreigners." After his Survivor outburst, Rocker was swiftly voted off the proverbial island.
