Jay Leno will soon be back on television, but this time he'll be on during prime time instead of late night.

The former host of The Tonight Show is close to signing a deal with CNBC for a show revolving around his love of cars, The Hollywood Reporter says. The cable channel is trying to expand its offerings to more than just financial shows, and this is a step in that direction. Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Leno was approached by several other outlets, including A&E, CNN, and History.
