Texas congressman Ralph Hall injured in car accident

Rep. Ralph Hall (R-Texas) has been injured in a car accident, the local ABC affiliate in Dallas-Forth worth reports:
Hall — who at age 91 is the oldest serving member of Congress — was airlifted by medical helicopter to Medical Center of Plano for treatment. His condition was not available.According to preliminary information, Hall was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck by another. [WFAA.com]
Hall was first elected to Congress in 1980, as a conservative Democrat, but eventually switched to the Republicans in 2004. He was defeated for reelection earlier this year, against a challenger in his Republican primary.
Update: Hall is in stable condition, a hospital spokesperson has told the local NBC station.
