Vintage Books announced on Monday that it plans to release electronic editions of nine of Gabriel Garcia Marquez's books, including Love in the Time of Cholera and Chronicle of a Death Foretold. It will mark the first time that the works of the Nobel Prize–winning novelist, who died in April, will be available in e-book form. The e-books are scheduled for release on Oct. 15.

However, One Hundred Years of Solitude, perhaps Garcia Marquez's most famous novel, will not make the shift to digital just yet, since the English language rights are owned by rival publisher HarperCollins. A spokesman for the company told The New York Times that it "would not comment 'at this time' on whether it had acquired the digital rights to Garcia Marquez's books."
