The motley array of costumed characters who pose for pictures in New York City's Times Square is staging protests for the right to pester tourists for "tips." The performers said cops were "harassing" them when they ask tourists for money. "We actually want respect," said Jovanna Melendez, who was dressed as Minnie Mouse.
