Actor Benedict Cumberbatch will take a walk on the wild side as the voice of Shere Khan in Warner Bros.' adaptation of The Jungle Book.

Shere Khan is the villainous tiger that clashes with orphan Mowgli, as featured in short stories written by Rudyard Kipling. Cumberbatch so far is the only lead cast, The Hollywood Reporter says. This Jungle Book will be directed by Andy Serkis, and is not to be confused with Disney's adaptation, which will be directed by Jon Favreau. For that movie, Shere Khan will be voiced by actor Idris Elba.
