Federal appeals court strikes down Oklahoma's gay-marriage ban
The 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals determined today that Oklahoma must allow gay couples to wed, reports The Associated Press.
The three-judge panel out of Denver upheld lower rulings that found Oklahoma's voter-approved gay marriage ban unconstitutional, although it put the ruling on hold in anticipation of an appeal. While it is unclear whether this decision, or the same court's similar ruling that struck down a gay marriage ban in Utah, will reach the Supreme Court, Utah's attorney general has said he intends to appeal.
