You won't see that Zoolander sequel anytime soon

Between last year's Anchorman sequel and the upcoming Dumber and Dumber To, long-gestating comedy sequels are so hot right now. Unfortunately, one much-discussed movie might be off the table: Zoolander 2, which was first announced in 2008.
Zoolander 2 "has been discussed and in some way in the works for 10 years," said Ben Stiller during an appearance at Siciliy's Taormina Film Festival. "But there are no plans to start production any time soon."
But don't write your Zoolander 2 eugoogooly just yet: Stiller also assured fans that his production company is "actively" working on a rewrite of the existing script, and that he still aims to make the Zoolander sequel at some point in his career. "I can't say that it’s actually a reality yet, but I hope some day it is," said Stiller. "It's been about 10 years now. It's going to be old Derek Zoolander."
