Secretary of State John Kerry said the U.S. is open to talking with Iran about the escalating violence in Iraq — and that the two sides could cooperate militarily to defuse the situation.
In a Monday interview with Yahoo! News, Kerry said the U.S. would "not rule out anything that would be constructive," though he cautioned that any coordination with Iran would be "step-by-step." One day prior, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) — himself no fan of Iran — said that option should be on the table as well.
