Alex Trebek grabs a Guinness World Record for most game show episodes hosted
Alex Trebek could now have his own Jeopardy! clue if the writers were feeling feisty.
As of Friday night, Trebek had hosted 6,829 episodes of the game show, good for a Guinness World Record for "most game show episodes hosted by the same presenter."
As someone who has never even finished a year-long lease, I'm duly impressed by Trebek's longevity. The 73-year-old host has been with the show since 1984, and he has told The Hollywood Reporter that he'll continue his hosting responsibilities for as long as he's able.

"I've been around for a long time, and I've had the good fortune to be associated with a good program like Jeopardy!," Trebek said in a video marking the announcement.
You could watch that video to mark Trebek's momentous moment, but wouldn't you rather see the iconic host read 90's rap lyrics? Yes, yes you would: --Sarah Eberspacher
