A manhunt is now on for a heavily armed gunman — this time up north in Canada, in the city of Moncton, New Brunswick.
The Royal Canadian Mountain Police in New Brunswick tells the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation that the gunman has killed three RCMP officers and wounded two others. In addition, it has been confirmed that the local hospital has received three patients with gunshot wounds, though it is not clear whether this overlaps with or is in addition to the Mounties.
The RCMP in New Brunswick has tweeted out this alert, identifying the suspect by name. Also included is a photo reportedly taken on the scene and published by the local newspaper, the Moncton Times & Transcript, showing the gunman wearing camouflage and carrying at least two large rifles.
