Troubled singer Chris Brown was released from a Los Angeles jail early Monday morning.
The 25-year-old had been in police custody since early March and was recently sentenced to a 131 days in jail in early May for violating the terms of his probation stemming from the 2009 assault on his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. The Los Angeles Times reports that since Brown had already served several months in jail and in a rehab program — combined with overcrowding in the county jails — his early release was "expected."
Brown isn't totally a free man, though — he will have to see psychiatrist twice a week, complete community service, and take appropriate medication.
