Pundits are pretty bold in making predictions, because that is their job and because, more importantly, they are almost never discredited or penalized for getting their forecasts horribly, predictably wrong. John Oliver took last week off from his weekly recap of the news, HBO's Last Week Tonight, but instead of leaving his fans hanging for a week he taped this segment on Sunday, May 18, to be broadcast a week later. It's hard to recap news that hasn't happened, so Oliver ripped a page out of the pundit playbook. Some of his predictions were predictably spot-on. And, predictably, Oliver throws F-bombs pretty liberally, especially near the end. You have been warned. --Peter Weber
