Will Ferrell and doppelgänger Chad Smith settle their rivalry with a delightful Tonight Show drum-off
NBC
Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith really do look remarkably alike. And when Ferrell suggested in February that Smith was really just a character he created, a rivalry was born. The two look-alikes explained their feud to Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night's Tonight Show. With a twist:
All entertainment rivalries have to go somewhere, and this one went to a drum-off: four drum solos each, the winner takes all. If Smith is passably funny, he's a great percussionist — and Ferrell is passably good at acting like a great drummer. Between the drum solos and surprising ending, everyone wins. --Peter Weber
