US Airways apologizes for tweeting graphic sexual image

Like most major airlines, US Airways often uses its Twitter account to respond to complaints. Today, for reasons that are still unclear, the account responded to a customer's angry message about a delayed flight by tweeting an image of a naked woman using a model plane to stimulate herself.
The offending tweet remained active for almost a full hour before US Airways got around to deleting it and replacing it with this apology:
Of course, that wasn't nearly fast enough to prevent the Twitterverse from picking it up and running with it:
