An Alabama man is fighting to keep his wife on his property — six feet underground. James Davis says he buried his wife, in accordance with her last wishes, in the front yard outside their log home in 2009. Now, the town of Stevenson, Ala., is suing Davis and demanding that he dig up his wife and relocate her to a cemetery. "We're not in the 1800s any longer," says city attorney Parker Edmiston. "We're not talking about a homestead... Mr. Davis lives in downtown Stevenson." An appeals court has yet to rule on the case.
