Julianne Hough as Sandy. Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo. Get ready to actually see that in — more than a year?
Fox announced its two leads for the three-hour, live musical production of Grease, which viewers will have to wait to check out until Jan. 31, 2016. The network is following in the footsteps of NBC, which has aired live musical productions of The Sound of Music, Peter Pan, and just announced an upcoming production of The Music Man or The Wiz, The Hollywood Reporter notes.
Hough's love interest (Danny Zuko) has yet to be cast, but the Dancing with the Stars alum said she has "literally been waiting my whole life to play Sandy," proving that sometimes, dreams really do come true.
