Former Louisville basketball standout Chris Jones on Thursday pleaded not guilty to rape and sodomy charges. The ex-Cardinals guard is accused of sexually assaulting two women last Saturday, one of whom he allegedly forced to perform oral sex.

The team dismissed Jones Sunday, though it did not at the time offer a reason for doing so. The senior guard was suspended earlier this month for an unspecified violation of team rules.
