Service dog jumps in front of a bus to save blind owner

Superdog, anyone? On Monday, a service dog heroically got between an oncoming mini school bus and its blind owner, in Brewster, New York, shielding her from the worst of the impact.

"The dog took a lot of the blow," said Brewster Police Chief John Del Gardo. "And he did not want to leave her side.” While witnesses and emergency responders tended the pair, Figo kept inching toward Stone, as she too called out for her courageous pup.
