Donald Trump wants everyone to know he's worth more than $10 billion

In true Donald Trump fashion, the GOP presidential candidate sent out a press release Wednesday announcing that his net worth is now "in excess of TEN BILLION DOLLARS."
A few weeks ago, Trump estimated his net worth at being 8.7 BILLION DOLLARS, and his campaign says this increase of more than 1 BILLION DOLLARS is due to the rising value of real estate holdings in New York, San Francisco, Miami, and other countries, The Washington Post reports. In the statement, Trump's campaign said he has filed his personal financial disclosures with the Federal Election Commission, which has 30 days to review the document before releasing it to the public.
The campaign took issue with the form, which asks applicants to list their assets, incomes, and liabilities, because it is "not designed for a man of Mr. Trump's massive wealth." One problem was "they have boxes once a certain number is reached that simply state $50 million or more," Trump's campaign said. "Many of these boxes have been checked." The campaign didn't release too much information on Trump's financials, but did say that he earned $213 million from NBC for 14 seasons of The Apprentice.
