Watch the first trailer for Vinyl, Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger's HBO music drama
It's hard to imagine a better pedigree for a prestige musical drama than Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger — and that's just the beginning of the murderer's row of talent HBO has assembled for Vinyl, an upcoming drama set in 1970s New York:
Though much of the story is still shrouded in mystery, we know that Vinyl will star Bobby Cannavale as Richie Finestra, a self-destructive record label president navigating a rapidly evolving musical era. The 10-episode season will feature a sprawling ensemble cast, including Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, and Juno Temple.
Vinyl will premiere sometime in 2016.
