More than a year after suffering severe injuries in a New Jersey traffic collision, actor and comedian Tracy Morgan will mark his return to comedy by hosting the October 17 episode of Saturday Night Live.

In June 2015, Morgan gave his first interview since the collision, which left him in a coma for two weeks and required extensive rehabilitation. "Right now, my goal is only just to heal and get better," he said at the time. "'Cause I'm not 100 percent yet. And when I'm there, you'll know. I'll get back to making you laugh, I promise you."
