Watch Sir Patrick Stewart and James Corden ably botch a famous magic trick

Patrick Stewart and James Corden are obviously both great showmen, and they aren't terrible magicians, either. On Tuesday's Late Late Show, Stewart and Corden brought back the David Copperfield era, donning shiny jackets and flamboyant pirate shirts for a magic act drowned in dramatic synth strings and flashing lights. Corden, in his introduction, set the scene as 1987 and that seems about right.

The two "cosmagicians" do a fine job with their magic hat trick, but by design or happenstance, Corden screws up the famous trick of sawing a lady in half. You can watch below. Peter Weber
