A photographer and reporter for CBS affiliate WDBJ7 were killed in a shooting in southwest Virginia on Wednesday morning, the beginning of which was caught on camera during their live broadcast. In the highly unsettling video, WDBJ7 reporter Alison Parker is seen interviewing a woman about tourism at the Bridgewater Plaza when gunshots ring out. Parker can be heard screaming before the camera cuts out.
WDBJ7 confirmed the deaths of its staff members, Alison Parker, 24, and Adam Ward, 27. Three people are reported to have been shot and the gunman is still on the loose. The investigation is ongoing.
