It's been less than a year since FX's Sons of Anarchy went to that big biker bar in the sky — but the popular series is already on the road for a comeback. Entertainment Weekly reports that creator Kurt Sutter is developing a new series set in the Sons of Anarchy universe.

The spin-off would focus on the Mayans, an Oakland-based motorcycle gang that repeatedly clashed with SAMCRO over Sons of Anarchy's seven seasons. Sutter had previously teased the possibility of a Sons of Anarchy prequel series, though it's unclear if this Mayans-centric spin-off would take place before, during, or after the events of Sons of Anarchy.
