Justin Bieber wants to 'live like Jesus'

At the ripe old age of 21, Justin Bieber is here to tell us he's totally mature now. In a Complex magazine cover story, the pop star revealed what he's learned from life experiences like falling in love, peeing in a bucket, and spending a night in jail. In the process, he talks about the role Christianity plays in his life.

"I just wanna honestly live like Jesus," Bieber said. "Not be Jesus — I could never — I don't want that to come across weird. He created a pretty awesome template of how to love people and how to be gracious and kind."

He goes onto liken his enthusiasm for talking about Jesus to showing off an "awesome, bomb girlfriend." Bieber repeatedly distanced himself from church-going Christians and then dropped this kernel of wisdom:

"You don't need to go to church to be a Christian," Bieber said. "If you go to Taco Bell, that doesn't make you a taco."
