Bad news for Hillary Clinton: Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is slowly but surely capturing the support of millennials across the country. While Sanders' support among millennials has been on the rise since August according to a national NBC News/SurveyMonkey poll, Clinton's support among that key demographic has been steadily dropping.

Just a few months ago, Sanders led Clinton 44 percent to 36 percent among Democratic voters between the ages of 18 and 29. That lead has since widened to 54 percent to Clinton's 26 percent — a difference of 20 percentage points.

That makes Sanders the Democratic presidential candidate with the largest swath of millennial support. Vice President Joe Biden, who has yet to announce if he'll run, has also seen his support among millennials drop from 15 percent to 10 percent in the last month. The other Democratic candidates earned one percent or less.
