The only candidate GOP voters would trust more than Trump with nuclear weapons is Carson

Republican voters have a lot of faith in Donald Trump. A new Reuters/Ipsos poll out Tuesday reveals that Republican voters trust the real estate mogul more than any other candidate in every area but one: nuclear weapons. Republicans think retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson would have a steadier hand with the nation's nukes than Trump, 39 percent to 34 percent. Marco Rubio came in third at 27 percent.
Aside from nuclear weapons though, GOP voters trust Trump most. He leads the field by a 23-point margin in who would be best at managing the economy. He also leads in trustworthiness in dealing with foreign leaders, a category in which he snags 41 percent. Overall, 40 percent of GOP voters say they trust Trump to be commander in chief — a ranking in which he ties with Carson.
