San Bernardino Mayor Carey Davis expressed gratitude for the "outpouring of sympathy and concern" in the aftermath of the shooting Wednesday at Inland Regional Center that left 14 dead and 17 wounded. In a Thursday morning interview with MSNBC's Morning Joe, Davis vowed the city would come together — as it already has — and bounce back. "Our community is resilient," Davis said. "We will recover from this."
Davis says that this remains an "active investigation" and that he hasn't received any updates beyond what has been provided to news outlets. He declined requests to comment further on the situation, saying that "we don't want to compromise anything that might jeopardize the case" and that they want to ensure "all that information is accurate."
