The average Star Wars fan: Male, 46, and loves comics
Who likes Star Wars? Well, lots of people, if the $529 million The Force Awakens raked in worldwide in its opening weekend is any sign. In an effort to profile the average Star Wars fan, the marketing firm SpotRight crunched some numbers, analyzing Star Wars' 1.91 million followers on Twitter.
After weeding out the accounts that weren't real people, SpotRight discovered this: The average Star Wars fan is a man, 46, married with children, and making between $75,000 and $124,000 a year. He would have been about 8 years old when the first Star Wars film came out — the perfect age for sci-fi indoctrination, of course.
