Man dies after blowing up condom dispenser
One would-be robber was killed on Christmas Day after he tried to blow up a condom vending machine.
In Schoppingen, Germany, the 29-year-old and two accomplices attached a homemade bomb to the dispenser, then ran to their vehicle to take cover. The victim didn't close the car door in time, and was hit in the head by a steel shard, the BBC reports. He was driven to the hospital by his fellow conspirators, who told doctors their friend fell down the stairs; he later died from his injuries. Eventually, one of the accomplices admitted to the police they had blown up the machine. Police said no money or condoms were stolen, and the surviving associates were arrested and then released.
