On anniversary of Charlie Hebdo attacks, Paris police kill man wearing possible suicide belt

Police on high alert in Paris.

Paris police have shot and killed a man who tried to enter a police station with a knife and a fake suicide belt, CNN reports; the man was reportedly shouting "Allahu Akbar." Several schools in the area went into lock down as a precaution and The Associated Press reports police have cleared "hundreds of people" from the neighborhood in fear that other assailants could be at large.

Significantly, Thursday marks the first anniversary of the Charlie Hebdo attacks. Police were among the 12 people killed in 2015.
