The 73rd annual Golden Globes started off with an insult, with host Ricky Gervais calling the Hollywood A-listers in front of him "disgusting, pill-popping, deviant scum." After jokes about Sean Penn, NBC, and the wage gap, he let the celebrities in on a little secret: "Remember that no one cares about that award as much as you do. Don't get emotional, it's embarrassing. That award is, no offense, worthless. It's a bit of metal that some nice old confused journalists wanted to give you in person so they can meet you and have a selfie with you." Ouch. Watch the video below. Catherine Garcia
