Star Wars: Episode VIII just got a big delay

Star Wars fans may have to wait.

Bad news, Star Wars fans: your next trip to a galaxy far, far away just got that much farther. Disney has announced that Rian Johnson's Star Wars: Episode VIII — previously scheduled for release on May 26, 2017 — has been pushed back to December 15, 2017.

On Star Wars: Episode VIII's original release date, Disney will instead premiere the next Pirates of the Carribbean movie.
