Winter storm Jonas let up on the East Coast early Sunday after a weekend of record-breaking snowfall for many cities. New York City, which implemented a travel ban Saturday, saw 26.8 inches, the second biggest total on record. Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C., were also hit hard.

At least 16 people from New York down to Georgia died due to the storm, ABC News reports. Hundreds of thousands experienced power outages.
