The Late Late Show host James Corden is set to host the 2016 Tony Awards, CBS announced Tuesday. Though he's now perhaps best known for Carpool Karaoke, the British comedian has appeared in two Broadway shows — The History Boys and One Man, Two Guvnors. The latter even earned him a Tony of his own.

"Both times I've worked on Broadway have been amongst the happiest times of my professional life," Corden said in the statement. "I consider it to be a huge honor to be asked to host such an incredible night. It's going to be fun; I can't wait to dust off my tap shoes!"
