Obama condemns intolerance at mosque visit: 'An attack on one faith is an attack on all'

President Obama visited a U.S. mosque for the first time during his presidency Wednesday amid his frustration with the anti-Muslim rhetoric being displayed in the Republican presidential race. Underscoring the contributions and accomplishments of Muslim Americans — who Obama hailed as some of the most "resilient and patriotic Americans you'll ever meet" — Obama offered a reminder that such intolerance is "inexcusable."

"If we're serious about freedom of religion, we have to understand that an attack on one faith is an attack on all of our faiths," he said. Muslims and mosques in America have been increasingly targeted amid recent terrorist attacks.
