2016 Nevada GOP caucus

Nevada Republicans hit the caucuses

In Nevada, Donald Trump remains the frontrunner as Republican voters head to caucus locations across the state.

Trump has had double digit leads in every recent public poll, and his campaign events have been attended by thousands. The caucuses started at 5 p.m. PT, and the results won't come in until after caucusing ends at 9 p.m. PT. Caucusing is relatively new in Nevada, and in 2012 when Mitt Romney won, only 8 percent of the state's GOP electorate caucused.

Marco Rubio, who lived in Las Vegas as a child and was briefly a Mormon, has been courting Mormon voters in the state, while Cruz is targeting evangelicals.
